67 glutes exercises across 3 difficulty levels. Step-by-step instructions, targeted muscle groups, and the equipment you need, pulled from Sculpt's training catalog.
The glutes are composed of three muscles: the gluteus maximus (the largest muscle in the body), gluteus medius, and gluteus minimus. The gluteus maximus is the primary hip extensor and external rotator. The gluteus medius and minimus handle hip abduction and stabilize the pelvis during single-leg stance. Strong glutes are critical for squatting, deadlifting, sprinting, and injury prevention at the knee and lower back.
